Alexander Anderson Jr. died,
creator of the series
"Rocky and Bullwinkle '
One of the brains of the famous animated series was 90 years old
and battling Alzheimer's
Anderson's son, Terry, told the Los Angeles Times that
his father died in a nursing home in Caramel on Friday after battling Alzheimer's disease.
Anderson was for years a resident of
Pebble Beach. Carmell, California, USA .-
The first artist in cartoons,
creator of Rocky the flying squirrel and Bullwinkle the moose,
died at age 90. Anderson's son, Terry, told the Los Angeles Times that his father died Friday at a nursing home in Caramel, after battling Alzheimer's disease. Anderson was for years a resident of Pebble Beach.
Other characters standing in the drawings of the Cold War were the Russian spies Boris and Natasha Fatale Badenov.
The "Crusader Rabbit" became the first animated TV series in the 1950's.
"Rocky and His Friends" debuted on ABC in 1959
